VORTEX Coffee is a micro-roaster of quality and progressive beans from around the globe, based in Prince Edward County, Ontario. From the deep waters of nearby Lake Ontario to the swirling crema of a fine espresso, we're constantly inspired by the idea of a vortex. Take a sip, and enjoy your trip.

VORTEX Coffee is a partnership between Johnny Ruttan (Cherry Bomb Coffee roaster) and Ryan Noth (Fifth Town Films), who live across the street from one another in Cherry Valley, Ontario. We're committed to working with good people and causes, particularly social or environmental.

VORTEX Coffee currently offers one lead brand of roasted coffee, featuring a combination of Ethiopian Yirgacheffee alongside beans from Brazil, Guatemala and Peru. Notes of chocolate, plum, and nut, with a low acidity perfect for mixing with milk based drinks (iced coffee!), in a french press, or as a straight espresso. Each month we also feature a speciality single origin offering, beginning with our Ethiopian Yirgacheffe.

Clayton Hanmer (CTON) is our graphics guru, and designer of our primary logo and Supremo bag. Carl Wiens designed our single origin packaging. Johnny C.Y. Lam shot all our photos. Ryan does the video content.

We're excited to bring new graphic artists on board for future bag prints. If you're a visual artist and want to engage with Vortex, hit us up!
